This site started life as "Chris Knight's Ancestry" but over time this description became misleading with the addition of many collateral lines only distantly related to me - hence the "Briar Patch".

There are over 10,000 people on this site, most related to me although there is a large collection of ESTCOURTs I came across in my researches who are not ancestors but I am keeping the information here as it may be of use to someone and the name is not very common. My ancestors' families are concentrated in Lancashire, the Midlands, Scotland and Australia but with many others spread across the globe.

Most Wanted - I am looking for information about these ancestors. Can you help?
